Welcome to the Summer School of Liturgical Music (SSLM)! We have been educating Orthodox choir conductors, singers and readers since 1992. The intense program takes place each summer in Jordanville, New York, on the territory of Holy Trinity Monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The full Core Program leading to certification in liturgical music (with specialisations in conducting, singing, and reading on kliros) consists of six weeks of intense study spread out over three summers (two weeks each). Students not seeking certification are welcome to attend as well, whether for one year or more, with an individual study plan worked out in consultation with the SSLM administration. Since 2015, we have also offered a Continuing Education Program for our alumni. SSLM is accredited by the Board of Regents of the State University of New York.
