REGISTRATION AND FEES
For the SSLM Core Curriculum:
Room and Board: $600
Note: Tuition includes 1 private voice lesson per week. For Conducting students, it also includes 1 private conducting lesson per week (in addition to group conducting lessons). Depending on the number of students enrolled, additional private lessons in both conducting and singing may be possible, for an additional $25 per private lesson.
PLEASE NOTE: To keep down the cost of the program and to pass on the savings to our students, we are not currently accepting online payments. Tuition is paid via cash or check, and is due no later than the end of the first week of the summer session (July 20, 2020).
Checks should be made out to Synodal School of Liturgical Music Limited.
You may either bring the payment with you to Jordanville and pay on site, or mail a check to:
Attn: Synodal School of Liturgical Music
1110 Prospect Ln.
Des Plaines, IL, 60018
**New this year: We recognize that, in these unstable economic times, it is not always easy to pay the entire amount of tuition/room and board up front in one payment. Therefore, we are happy to offer individualized payment plans, whereby you may pay in installments (by check) in advance of the summer session, on a schedule worked out with the SSLM administration on an individual basis. If you DO wish to pay in installments, you must let us know as soon as you have registered, by contacting Valentina Shatalova at email@example.com for more details.
If students are sponsored and paid for by their parish, a discount of $100 is offered to the parish. In that case, payment should be made by parish check. For those students not taking the full course load, each separate course is $130, plus the regular room and board fee of $600 and $25 for each half hour private lesson.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 15, 2020.
Note: Registration after the deadline is based on availability of space.
Registration for the Continuing Education Program (CEP)
PLEASE NOTE: In 2019, we are not holding a CEP session due to an overwhelmingly large enrollment in our Core Curriculum which requires the full attention of our faculty. The CEP program is being revamped accordingly and will be, God willing, offered in 2020.
Note: International students with questions regarding visas please contact the SSLM administration directly by email.
Note: Travel Information: If arriving by plane, students are requested to travel to Albany International Airport, as it is much easier for SSLM to arrange transportation there and back than to/from the alternative local airport (Syracuse). If arriving by bus/train, students should travel to Utica, New York.
Note: All SSLM students are lodged in the Holy Trinity Monastery guesthouse or in the Holy Trinity Seminary dormitory (male students only). SSLM has its own full-service dining room.
For any questions regarding registration, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note our refund policy: Payment is fully refundable up until the first day of the annual summer session. In case the student leaves the summer session after it has started, for any reason, the refund is pro-rated according to the number of days the student spent at SSLM.
Also please note that we do not accept students under the age of 18 under any circumstances.
